Day 01: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Ba Be (l.d)
Pick up at hotel at 08h00 and depart for Bac Kan, famous for Ba Be Lakes. Stop on the way to take pictures and visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Thai Nguyen city. Lunch at local restaurant in Thai Nguyen. Then, continue to Bac Kan and arrive in Bac Kan in the afternoon. Check in to the stilt home for a hot welcome cup of green tea. Free walking around the village to discover Tays minority’s life. Dinner and overnight in a traditional house on stilt.

Day 02: Ba Be - Cruises on Ba Be lake (b.l.d)
Wake up with the chirping of birds and sounds of village life. Well rested, take in the moment of natural tranquility away from the stresses of the city. After breakfast then we start to discover the imposing beauty of the area by a boat cruise day. Glide along the river, through a pretty cave and onto a powerful waterfall. The whole journey offers great natural scenery and photo opportunities. After lunch at a local food stall near the waterfall, cruise continues into Ba Be lakes and all its majestic. Enjoy great swimming and water fun. Finish the day with a light trek through ethnic minority villages back to our new home. Dinner and overnight in the traditional house on stilt.

Day 03: Ba Be Lake - Hanoi (B.L)
Again, take advantage of the morning’s fresh air and village energy. Have breakfast and enjoy a last leisurely walk in the park. A bicycle or scenic motorbike ride is a great alternative and also great fun. Pack up your things then say goodbye to your new friends. Leave the village for Hanoi by 10:00 am. If we’re lucky, and it is Sunday, we will make a stop on the way to visit kermis, a typical local market, in the highlands area. Lunch on the way. We arrive in Hanoi by 5:30 pm back at your hotel.

Activities during the trip : twoprograms with the same duration and at the same time can have two different prices depending on the activities to do in the program.

The date of booking : booking too close may be a reason that the price is higher because of the weak availability of services.

Visa

Only some countries can visit Vietnam without an entry visa valid for one month. Those countries are mainly Asian countries. All other citizens are required to get an entry visa before departure or a pre-approved entry visa (visa is issued on arrival at international airports) supplied before arrival in Vietnam.

We recommend that you obtain your entry visa by having a valid passport stamped prior to your departure by applying to any one of the Vietnam Embassies or Consulates worldwide. However, if your particular city does not have a Vietnamese embassy, and you wish to avoid procedural delays (anywhere from 4 to 10 days) which sometimes happen with visa approvals at embassies outside, Vietnam Travel can make this requirement a fairly easy exercise. We provide a form, which you may copy and paste into a word document, fill out and return to us with the required information by fax or email. We will then arrange to obtain the visa approval service for you. You will subsequently still need to get the official Vietnamese stamp of approval on your passport at any of our Embassies. Following such an approval, we will send you the letter approval (by fax or email) and fax the approval to your desired Embassy or Consulate. You will need to take that approval with your passport to that Embassy or Consulate to get the visa stamp on your passport, which is done on the same day. You are now ready to go Vietnam !
In case that there is no embassy or Consulate in your country, or you just want to make part of a multi-destination trip, then we recommend Visa on arrival as your best option

What is a 'Visa on Arrival'? this is most likely the easiest way to obtain your visa without having to chase down embassies, consulates and the like prior to your trip, and is a valid alternative when applying for a tourist visa. The entry visa will be stamped on your passport as you pass through our immigration checkpoint. Though valid for thirty days, it can be extended once you enter. With this type of visa, you only can enter the country by air.

How to get a Visa on Arrival? this is where service at Vietnam Travel shines over other travel services. We are the first agency to offer this kind of service, whereby we obtain what is called an “Approval Letter” for you from the Viet Nam Immigration Department in Hanoi. After we obtain the approval for you, we will forward you a copy by fax or email. Copies of the same document will be forwarded on your behalf to immigration checkpoints at International Airports only, so that when you arrive in Vietnam, the Immigration officers will have those documents on hand and will be able to issue your entry visa expediently.
