Day 01: Hanoi - Khan Na: 150 km

Departure in the early morning to Khan Na, Tay village via wild landscapes. Dinner and overnight at homestay.

 

Day 02: Na Khan - Ba Be: 80 km

After breakfast at Tay family. Depart for Ba Be, the most beautiful lake in Vietnam. Arrive in Ba Be, check in to the traditionnal house on stilts for welcome tea. Lunch at homestay. Afternoon, take a nice boat trip on Ba Be Lake to Dau Dang waterfall. Overnight at homestay in Ba Be.

 

Day 03: Ba Be - Bao Lac: 180 km

Breakfast at hometsay. Departure in the early morning to Bao Lac, cradle of multiple ethnic minorities. We will cross Thai Black, Dao, H'mong, San Chi and finally black Lo Lo. Dinner and overnight in Bao Lac.

 

Day 04: Bao Lac - Dong Van : 210 km

After breakfast. Depart for Ha Giang, one of the most amazing chain of Vietnam along the Chinese border. Several mountain passes, a succession of valleys, as a point convergence with different cultures. A timeless journey in a mystical atmosphere with many stopovers on the way like Nho Que River, Happy Road, Ma Phi Leng Pass and Dong Van ancient town. Overnight in Dong Van. 

 

Day 05: Dong Van - Ha Giang : 140 km

After breakfast, depart for Lung Cu Flag Tower, the northernmost point of Vietnam, located near the Chinese border. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys before visiting a traditional Lo Lo ethnic village, where you will gain insight into the unique culture, customs, and daily life of one of Vietnam’s smallest ethnic groups.

Continue your journey through the picturesque village of Pho Bang, renowned for its centuries-old earthen houses and as the setting of the famous Pao’s House. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant along the way.

In the afternoon, travel through the stunning landscapes of Yen Minh and Quan Ba, stopping at scenic viewpoints to admire the majestic limestone mountains, lush valleys, and terraced fields. Take time for photographs before continuing to Ha Giang City. Dinner and overnight in Ha Giang.

 

Day 06: Ha Giang - Hoang Su Phi : 80 km

After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Hoang Su Phi, one of Vietnam’s most spectacular regions, renowned for its magnificent terraced rice fields and breathtaking mountain scenery. Upon arrival in Nam Hong Village, check in to your private bungalow overlooking lush valleys, rolling mountains, and stunning rice terraces.

After lunch, enjoy a leisurely walk through Nam Hong Village, home to the Red Dao ethnic minority. Discover the local culture, admire the beautiful landscapes, and meet the warm and welcoming villagers.

In the late afternoon, return to Hoang Su Phi Lodge. You may relax with a traditional herbal bath or a massage (optional and payable locally), an excellent way to unwind after the journey. Dinner and overnight at Hoang Su Phi Lodge.

 

Day 07: Hiking in Hoang Su Phi : 12 km

After breakfast, embark on a full-day hike through the spectacular landscapes of Hoang Su Phi, one of Vietnam’s finest trekking destinations. Renowned for its magnificent terraced rice fields, pristine valleys, lush forests, and rich ethnic diversity, the region remains largely untouched by mass tourism.

The trek begins from Nam Hong village and follows scenic trails to Nam Khoa village, passing through breathtaking rice terraces, traditional ethnic minority hamlets, and beautiful mountain scenery. Enjoy a home-hosted lunch with a local family and discover the authentic way of life of the region’s inhabitants.

In the afternoon, continue hiking along a different route back to Hoang Su Phi Lodge, offering new perspectives of the surrounding landscapes and villages.

Day 08: Hoang Su Phi - Bac Ha: 190 km

Breakfast at hotel. Departure in the early morning to Bac Ha by the adventurous roads of Xi Man and Hoang Su Phi surrounded by beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, walking in the ethnic villages around Bac Ha. Dinner and overnight in Bac Ha.

 

Day 09: Bac Ha - Sapa: 150 km

In the early morning, visit the typically colorful market of Bac Ha held only every Sunday morning. Then departure to Sapa for visiting in the most beautiful valley of Sapa through terraced rice fields, ethnic villages and schools. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Sapa - Luc Yen 110 km

After breakfast, we leave Sapa for Thac Ba lake. We cross the territories of H'mong and Red Dao to Luc Yen and arrive in Luc Yen in the late afternoon. Walks around the village to discover the lifestyle of Tay minority. Dinner and overnight at homestay.

 

Day 11: Luc Yen - Vu Linh: 80 km

Breakfast at homestay. We follow a very pretty road, always in the middle of the trees and palmettos karst formations to Vu Linh village. Lunch at White Daos family. In the afternoon, boat trip on Thac Ba lake. Dinner and overnight in Yen Bai.

 

Day 12: Vu Linh – Trekking - Hanoi

Breakfast at homestay. This morning is devoted to visit in the ethnic villages around Yen Bai: Da Trang Village, hometown of Cao Lan, Trai Man village, hometown of Tay minority, Tam Vong, Vu Linh, home of White Dao to discover their lifestyle and have authentic human contact with them. Lunch at homestay. Then, return to Hanoi through the landscapes, rural villages and green rice fields. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon. End of our services.
