Day 01: Hanoi arrival (-)

Arrive at Noi Bai airport, welcomed by local English speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. Free to explore the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Dinner on your own and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: Hanoi (B.L)

Breakfast at hotel. Full day city tour of Vietnam’s capital, including Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, traditional stilt house, the revered One-Pillar Pagoda and visit to typical Vietnamese places of worship, Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda, along the shore of West Lake. After lunch, visit the first university, the thousand year old Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son temple and attend the unique water puppet show. Dinner on your own and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03 : Hanoi - Ba Be lake (B.L.D)

After breakfast. Our guide and our driver pick you up at the hotel and depart for Ba Be lake (260km) from Hanoi. Visit Ethnic Museum in Thai Nguyen to discover the culture and daily life of 54 ethnics group. Lunch on the way and continue to Ba Be, then walk around Pac Ngoi village. Dinner and overnight with Tays people in Pac Ngoi.

 

Day 04 : Ba Be – Cruise - Cao Bang (B.L.D)

After breakfast. We take a boat cruise in Ba Be lake, the most beautiful lake in Vietnam, well known for over 330 species of butterflies and lush forest clinging to the surrounding mountains. Reach the end of the lake and trek to Dau Dang Waterfall, back to the boat harbor. Lunch at local family. Then, depart for Cao Bang and stopover on the way for taking pictures and for visit. Arrive in Cao Bang, check in hotel and visit Cao Bang market. Dinner and overnight in Cao Bang.

 

Day 05 : Cao Bang - Ban Gioc waterfall - Cao Bang (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Take a scenic day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Chinese border. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters. The unique landscape includes limestone karst formations soaring from the verdant rice paddies of Tay, H'Mong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. On the way back to Cao Bang, explore the expansive 2,144 meter Nguom Ngao Cavern to discover its brilliant stalactites. Dinner and overnight in Cao Bang.

 

Day 06 : Cao Bang – Bao Lac - Ha Giang (B.L.D)

After breakfast at hotel. Depart for Ha Giang (300km). On the way, stop over for taking photos, visit ethic villages and local markets (if it is the market day). Arrive in Ha Giang, our guide obtain the autorisation for visiting this erea. Dinner and overnight in Ha Giang.

 

Day 07 : Ha Giang - Meo Vac - Dong Van (B.L.D)

After breakfast. We'll drive up to the highland of Ha Giang province. Visit Quan Ba Sky gate, Fairy Mountain, hand weaving village. Break in Yen Minh town. Continues to Meo Vac town, visit Dao minority house and we have chance to view Nho Que river with Ma Phi Leng pass. Arrive Dong Van at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight in Dong Van.

 

Day 08 : Dong Van - Lung Cu - Ha Giang (B.L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit Dong Van ancient market and Dong Van ancient town. Then, depart to Flag tower on the top of Lung Cu mountain about 1 km, view the valley from the top. After that we go to Sa Phin village to visit former H'mong King palace, on the way we can stop to visit ethnic villages. Drive back to Ha Giang. Overnight in Ha Giang.

 

Day 09 : Ha Giang - Bac Ha (B.L.D)

After breakfast. Depart to Bac Ha via Viet Quang and Pho Rang on the tortuous roads but with picturesque landscape of the Vietnam countryside and mountains. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Bac Ha (Lao Cai), check in hotel and trek through ethnic villages near by Bac Ha town. Dinner and overnight in Bac Ha.

 

Day 10 : Bac Ha market - Sapa (B.L.D)

In the morning you'll see one of the most colorful market of the hilltribe people in Bac Ha that takes part only on Sunday morning. Lunch at local restaurant and take a boat cruise on Chay river. At 03h00pm leave Bac Ha for Sapa. Arrive in Sapa . Check in hotel and free time to discover Sapa town. Overnight in Sapa.

 

Day 11 : Sapa trekking - Hanoi (B.L.D) by train

After breakfast, you'll walk down through the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van. The trekking route offers some challenge as you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. Lunch at local restaurant. Trek through bamboo forest and the vegetation is dense as the trail leads up to a peaceful village Giang Ta Chai perched on the Hoang Lien mountainside. Back to Sapa and transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train with 04 soft sleepers.

 

Day 12 : Hanoi- Ha Long (B.L.D)

Arrive in Hanoi at 04h30. Transferred to hotel for breakfast. Drive to Ha Long Bay, one of the World's Natural Heritage.

12h00 – 12h30 : Embark on the traditional wooden junk followed by a short cruise briefing.

13h00 – 15h30 : Savor a delectable lunch as cruises among the limestone islands.

15h30 – 16h30 : Kayak among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Bo Nau Cave area. Back to the junk

16h30 – 17h30 : Cruising to Soi Sim island. Go swimming and relaxing at the beach of Soi Sim or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay.

17h30 : Cruise back to the main boat for a shower. Relax or snap photos as the sun starts to set.

19h00 : Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, fish for squid, or just laze around. Overnight on board.

 

Day 13 : Ha Long – Cooking demonstration - Hanoi (B.L)

06h30 - 07h00 : Start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunt.

07h30 - 08h30 : Have breakfast at sunrise.

08h30 - 09h30 : Explore the amazing Sung Sot Cave - the nicest cave in Halong Bay.

09h30 : Return to the boat. Freshen up and check out of your cabin.

09h30 - 10h30 : Continue your cruise exploring the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more.

10h30 – 11h30 : While heading back to the habor, watch the cooking demonstration before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.

12h00 – 12h30 : Disembark and back to Ha Long pier. Our driver picks you up to Hanoi.

 

Day 14 : Hanoi - Departure (B)

Breakfast at hotel and free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the departure (check out at 12h00)
