Day 01: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong National Park (L.D)
Depart from your hotel in Hanoi at 07:30 and travel south to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s first and most important nature reserve. Upon arrival, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, a remarkable conservation project dedicated to protecting some of the country’s rarest primate species. Enjoy lunch at the park’s guesthouse before checking in and taking a short rest.
In the afternoon, explore the rich biodiversity of Cuc Phuong National Park. Walk through the ancient tropical forest to discover its impressive flora and fauna, including the famous thousand-year-old Cho Chi tree. Continue to the Cave of Prehistoric Man, an important archaeological site where traces of early human habitation dating back thousands of years were discovered.
Dinner will be served at the park’s restaurant. Spend the night in the peaceful surroundings of Cuc Phuong National Park, immersed in the sounds of the forest. Overnight at Cuc Phuong National Park.
Day 02: Cuc Phuong – Van Long Nature Reserve – Hanoi (B.L)
After breakfast, depart Cuc Phuong and drive to Van Long Nature Reserve, the largest wetland nature reserve in northern Vietnam. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing sampan boat trip through this spectacular landscape of limestone karsts, tranquil waterways, and lush vegetation. Van Long is also home to the endangered Delacour’s langur, one of the rarest primates in the world.
Continue exploring the reserve’s peaceful scenery before heading to a local restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the Dinh and Early Le Dynasties in the 10th century. Discover its historic temples and learn about an important chapter of Vietnamese history.
After the visit, drive back to Hanoi through the beautiful countryside of the Red River Delta. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon, around 17:00.
