Excursion to Mai Chau from Hanoi 2 days

Day 01: Hanoi – Mai Chau (L.D)

Depart from Hanoi in the morning and travel southwest towards the peaceful valley of Mai Chau. Along the way, enjoy the ever-changing scenery of rolling hills, lush countryside, and picturesque mountain landscapes. Several stops will be made for photos and to admire the beautiful views.

Arrive in Mai Chau around noon and check in to a traditional stilt-house homestay nestled in the heart of the valley. Enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local specialties prepared by your hosts.

In the afternoon, embark on a gentle walk through the surrounding villages inhabited by the White Thai ethnic minority. Discover their unique culture, traditional wooden stilt houses, daily lifestyle, and centuries-old handicraft traditions. Stroll through rice fields and peaceful rural paths while meeting local villagers and learning about their way of life.

In the evening, savor a traditional dinner before enjoying a lively cultural performance featuring local music, dances, and colorful ethnic costumes. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich cultural heritage of Mai Chau. Overnight at a traditional homestay in Mai Chau.

Day 02: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B.L)

After breakfast at the homestay, continue your exploration of the Mai Chau valley with a scenic trek through emerald rice paddies and charming ethnic villages such as Chieng Sai, Na Phin, and Nhot. Along the way, gain deeper insight into the daily life, customs, and agricultural traditions of the White Thai people.

Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the countryside, surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes and traditional village life that has remained largely unchanged for generations.

Return to the homestay for lunch before departing for Hanoi. Travel back through the beautiful countryside and arrive in the capital in the late afternoon.
