Day 01: Saigon – Cao Lanh – Chau Doc (L)

This morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel before departing for Chau Doc, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. En route, stop at My Hiep to explore the fascinating Xeo Quyt ecological site by traditional rowing boat.

Glide through peaceful canals surrounded by dense cajuput forests, aquatic plants, towering trees, and tangled vines. During the Vietnam War, this secluded wetland served as an important Viet Cong military base. Today, it offers a unique combination of natural beauty and historical significance.

Continue your journey with a visit to a local family workshop to discover the traditional art of incense stick making before driving onward to Chau Doc. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore the charming riverside town. Dinner is at your own leisure and overnight in Chau Doc.

 

Day 02: Chau Doc – Can Tho (B.L.D)

After breakfast, embark on an early morning boat excursion to admire the beautiful sunrise over the Mekong River.

Cruise through the floating fish farming village, where generations of local families have lived and worked on the water. Continue to a traditional Cham ethnic village to learn about the unique culture and customs of the Muslim Cham community. Visit a local mosque and discover the traditional craft of handwoven Cham textiles.

After the boat trip, depart for Can Tho, the vibrant capital of the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, visit some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including Ninh Kieu Wharf, the elegant Binh Thuy Ancient House, the historic Ong Pagoda, and the lively local market, where you can experience the authentic atmosphere of daily life in the delta. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Can Tho.

 

Day 03: Cai Rang floating market - Tra Vinh (B.L.D)

Rise early for one of the highlights of the Mekong Delta: the famous Cai Rang floating market, where hundreds of boats gather to trade fresh fruits, vegetables, and local products.

Continue by boat to visit a traditional vermicelli-making family and a local rice milling workshop. Enjoy a leisurely cruise through narrow canals lined with lush tropical vegetation, passing fruit orchards, traditional thatched houses, and peaceful riverside villages that showcase authentic rural life in southern Vietnam.

Return to your hotel for breakfast before departing for Tra Vinh.

Upon arrival, check in to your charming lakeside bungalow at Tra Vinh Lodge, nestled in a peaceful countryside setting.

In the afternoon, join a hands-on Vietnamese cooking class, where you will learn to prepare the famous Vietnamese crispy pancake (Bánh Xèo) using fresh local ingredients.

Enjoy the delicious dishes you have prepared during dinner. Overnight at Tra Vinh Lodge.

 

Day 04: Tra Vinh - Ben Tre – Saigon (B.L)

After breakfast, depart for Ben Tre, known as Vietnam's Coconut Kingdom.

Board a traditional boat for a relaxing cruise along the Ben Tre River, observing daily life on the bustling waterways, including local fishing activities, river transportation, and traditional riverside communities.

Visit a traditional brick kiln, where bricks are still handcrafted using age-old techniques before being fired in large kilns.

Continue cruising along picturesque canals to visit a local coconut processing workshop and discover how various coconut products, including coconut candy and handicrafts, are made.

Explore the tranquil countryside by xe lôi (motorized rickshaw) or bicycle, following shaded village paths through lush coconut groves, rice paddies, and vegetable gardens. Along the way, stop at a family workshop specializing in traditional handwoven sleeping mats and enjoy fresh tropical fruits accompanied by local tea. A delicious home-hosted lunch will be served at Hai Ho's family home.

In the afternoon, relax on a peaceful sampan ride through the narrow coconut-lined canals before returning by boat to Ham Luong Pier.

Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, drop off at your hotel and end of our services
