Day 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai by overnight Train (-)
At around 8:00 PM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and transfer you to Hanoi Railway Station. Board the overnight train to Lao Cai, the gateway to the spectacular mountains of Sapa. Settle into your comfortable air-conditioned soft-sleeper cabin and enjoy a relaxing overnight journey through the scenic countryside of northern Vietnam. Overnight on the train.
Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai (B.L.D)
Upon your early morning arrival at Lao Cai Railway Station, your local guide and driver will warmly welcome you before transferring you to a hotel in Sapa. Enjoy breakfast, freshen up with a shower, and leave your luggage at the hotel before beginning your adventure.
Your first trekking day takes you into the breathtaking Muong Hoa Valley, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful valleys in Vietnam. Surrounded by magnificent terraced rice fields and towering mountains, you will hike from Lao Chai, home to the Black H'mong people, to the charming village of Ta Van, where the Giay ethnic community has preserved its traditional lifestyle for generations.
Along the way, admire endless rice terraces, suspension bridges, peaceful streams, and picturesque mountain landscapes while learning about the unique customs and daily life of the local ethnic minorities.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your trek to Giang Ta Chai, a peaceful village inhabited by the Red Dao people. The trail winds through bamboo forests, waterfalls, terraced fields, and quiet villages, offering countless opportunities for photography and authentic cultural encounters.
In the evening, experience the warm hospitality of a traditional homestay, where you will share a home-cooked dinner with your host family and gain a deeper insight into the local way of life.

Day 3: Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Nam Cang – Sapa – Bac Ha (B.L)
Wake up to the fresh mountain air and enjoy breakfast with your host family before continuing your trek through some of Sapa's most untouched landscapes.
Today's route leads you to the peaceful villages of Su Pan and Nam Cang, where the Xa Pho and Tay ethnic groups live in harmony with nature. As you walk along quiet mountain trails, you will pass lush valleys, crystal-clear streams, wooden stilt houses, and beautifully cultivated rice terraces while meeting welcoming local families and discovering their traditional customs, handicrafts, and agricultural practices.
After this rewarding cultural experience, return to Sapa for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, travel by private vehicle to the charming highland town of Bac Ha, famous for its colorful ethnic culture and vibrant weekly market. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy some free time to explore the peaceful streets of Bac Ha, visit local cafés, or simply relax in this authentic mountain town. Dinner at your leisure. Day 4: Bac Ha Weekly Market – Ethnic Villages – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B.L)
After an early breakfast, visit the famous Bac Ha Market, one of the most authentic and colorful ethnic markets in northern Vietnam. Arriving early allows you to experience the market before the crowds, when local people dressed in their vibrant traditional costumes gather to trade livestock, agricultural products, textiles, handicrafts, herbs, spices, and everyday necessities.
Located in a spectacular mountain basin near the Chinese border, the market brings together numerous ethnic communities, including the Flower H'mong, Tay, Phu La, Dao, Nung, and Giay, creating an extraordinary cultural experience unlike anywhere else in Vietnam.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, continue with a gentle walk through the surrounding villages to discover the daily life of the local communities. Meet skilled artisans, observe traditional weaving and farming techniques, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the northern highlands while surrounded by rolling hills and magnificent rice terraces.
In the late afternoon, transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station to board the overnight train back to Hanoi. Relax in your comfortable air-conditioned soft-sleeper cabin as your memorable journey through the mountains of northern Vietnam comes to an end. Overnight on the train. End of our services.
